About Lauren Lyman, Owner and Instructor at Splash Mobile Swim Lessons

Lauren Lyman has an extensive background in child development, having worked with children as a Montessori guide and nanny for the past decade. She’s been passionate about the water since childhood and spent her high school years swimming competitively.

Lauren is a certified swimming instructor for children ages 12 months to 5 years old with Swim Lessons University, Adult Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED trained, and is a member of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. She is also a PADI-certified scuba diver and spent a month diving in the most challenging waters on the planet in Raja Ampat, Indonesia.

Lauren’s teaching style is largely informed by her Montessori background and RIE lead child-caring philosophy, and her lessons are focused on providing a nurturing, safe, supportive, and empowering environment that honors each swimmer’s unique pace. Her play-led, child-centered approach encourages water exploration while instilling confidence, fundamental water safety competency, and foundational swimming skills.

She also loves snorkeling, canoeing, water aerobics, paddleboarding, hiking, and spending time in the Florida springs.
